Time Management for Competitive Exam Students
Balancing Boards & Undergraduate Entrances
One of the biggest challenges for CLAT, IPMAT, or CUET aspirants is balancing their school board exams with competitive preparation. Many high-potential students burn out trying to manage both. Here is our proven time-management blueprint:
1. Leverage the \"Syllabus Intersection\" Strategy
Do not treat boards and entrances as separate tasks. Find the overlaps:
- If you are studying English grammar or reading comprehension for school, use that slot to solve CLAT or CUET English passages.
- If you are a school student, your NCERT history and political science chapters are direct syllabus questions for CUET domains and CLAT GK.
- If you are a Commerce student, Class 12 accountancy and math directly feed into the IPMAT quant basics.
2. The 70:30 Study Rule
- **School Days:** Allocate 70% of your time (2 hours) to Class 12 board preparation and 30% (1 hour) to entrance concepts (solving daily current affairs pips or logical sets).
- **Weekends/Holidays:** Flip the ratio. Allocate 70% to entrance mock runs and deep analysis, and 30% to writing school assignments.
3. Schedule High-Focus Tasks First
Read current affairs or solve complex data interpretation sheets early in the morning when your cognitive energy is at its peak. School assignments and standard memorization can be handled in the afternoon.
